On May 31st, the Development Agency of the South Aegean Region -READ S.A. organized a first meeting with a group of stakeholders relevant to the implementation of project TOURISMO.
READ S.A. is the project lead partner and responsible for the Greek pilot case that will be implemented in the Medieval City of Rhodes. In this context, following an invitation by READ S.A.´s President, Ms Mara Antoniadi, the Regional Vice Governor of Culture as well as representatives from the Hoteliers Association of Rhodes, the Technical Chamber (Dodecanese Branch), the Association of Tourist Agents of the Dodecanese, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Dodecanese, the Municipality of Rhodes, the regional branch of HIT/CERTH, the Regional Vocational Center and the K2 Regional Development Organization, attended the meeting and discussed the specifications of the pilot test in Rhodes, exchanging several interesting positions and useful ideas.
Special emphasis was placed on the creation of a stakeholder group as a Community of Practice (CoP) which will be very useful in the substantial contribution of the representatives in the implementation of the project actions. The aim is to achieve the best possible practical and measurable results as a group of representatives who participate in community activities and continuously create their common identity through involvement and contribution to local community practices.
The Development Agency of the South Aegean Region -READ S.A. looks forward to a continued collaboration with all stakeholders and will continue to organize new meetings and actions within this community of practice, with the aim of further strengthening common goals.
