TOURISMO project partner Varna Economic Development Agency, in partnership with the Union of Tourist Guides in Bulgaria, invites industry stakeholders to join the celebration of International Tourist Guide Day on 21 February 2025 in Bulgaria.
The event will feature a diverse program, including a presentation on the TOURISMO project and initial insights from tourist flow monitoring in the Varna pilot area, conducted using unmanned aerial vehicles (drones). A dynamic brainstorming session with tourism service & tech providers will explore how TOURISMO’s outcomes can benefit local economic stakeholders.
The afternoon session will highlight the introduction of a new thematic route within the Varna Pilot Area, developed under the TOURISMO project. Additionally, attendees will gain valuable insights from expert-led presentations on key topics such as:
- The role of tourist guides in fostering sustainable tourism
- Marketing strategies to attract more visitors and build successful partnerships
- Women’s access to careers in coastal tourism as part of the blue economy
Speakers from Varna Economic University, Brand Start Agency, and other esteemed organizations will contribute to these discussions, offering expertise and best practices to drive innovation and growth in the tourism sector.
