We are thrilled to reflect on the incredible success of the TOURISMO Project at the Smart City Expo World Congress 2024 in Barcelona, hosted at the Snap4City booth!

During the event, the Snap4City team of the DISIT Lab/UNIFI proudly presented the advanced technical activities driving TOURISMO’s mission for sustainable tourism management. We showcased our innovative approach to data acquisition and integration across the project’s pilot sites, highlighting the transformative potential of our work.

SCEWC 2024 was an outstanding opportunity to connect with global experts, share knowledge and demonstrate the tangible results of our pilot projects. The positive feedback and enthusiasm we received confirm the growing interest in data-driven solutions for sustainable tourism —and we’re excited about the potential for future collaborations!

Visitors at the expo had the unique opportunity to explore how Snap4City’s powerful tools are driving innovation within TOURISMO, setting the stage for a smarter, more sustainable future for tourism.

We’re also proud to announce that the integration of the first pilots data into the Snap4City platform has started. This milestone marks a major step forward in the TOURISMO journey, enabling the collection, analysis and real-time visualization of data from our 8 pilot sites across the Euro-Med region (Rhodes, Bisevo, Florence, Limassol, Malta, Varna, Valencia City and Valencia Port). These insights are already providing actionable tools to enhance decision-making, foster local engagement and promote resilient, sustainable tourist destinations.
